Technologies, Inc. company name was created out of a customer meeting.
Kevin Johnson, Seamless' founder, was giving a presentation to several
carrier telephone company vice presidents in the basement executive
cafeteria in a 4 story institutional building of 6,000 workers. The
presentation was readout of a plan to merge two carrier data networks
in a single global network. Kevin was explaining his technical and
financial plan to merge both company's assets into a single global
networking fabric, and said, " the customer would be able to transit
all of the networks, use disparate authorization and value added services,
in a way that would be seamless to the user". One VP interjected,
"what do you mean seamless?" Kevin responded, "the user can move from
service to service, from end-to-end without knowing that they are
moving across many networks, operations and service boundaries". He
said "aha, seamless, yes" and nodded his head. The next day Kevin
changed the company name to "Seamless Technologies, Inc.".
